Classifying and Defining… that is not ANTI-Creative [maybe that's a name for an Art Movement, the ANTI-CREATIVES who will become the "ANTIS" not to be confused with the Aunties !]
When one draws, one defines the space 2-dimensionally and makes hundreds if not thousands of choices in a short span of time.
When one paints, one adds color to the mix making the choice options endless [Is that MIXISM?]
In my opinion the 7 DIRTY WORDS of Art Movements are: CUBISM, DADA, ABSTRACTION, SURREALISM, ART BRUT, CONCEPTUAL ART & COMPUTER ART
All misunderstood, most are disliked by the general public and argued about endlessly by Artists.
When working as a graphic artist/illustrator I had a client say to me, “We will have no Cubism here.”
